fine late 18th ct continental Portrait in the naïve style. According
to the inscription on the reverse he is Wilhelm Von Saks.He wears a sea
green tail coat and waistcoat into which his right hand is thrust in a
Napoleonic gesture over a white ruff shirt with black choker. He wears
a decoration on a red ribbon around his neck and has another pinned to
his coat. An enchanting portrait. c 1800.
