early 18th Ct portrait of a lady in a wearing a linen blouse with ruffled sleeves and bodice beneath a gown of ivory silk with a contrasting lining secured by a brooch of ruby and pearls.
She wears a cloak of royal blue casually arranged about her. The subject is identified as Elizabeth Comyn in a finely lettered inscription in the upper right of the picture.
